PROJECTS

HKVAN has actively participated in different art exhibitions and projects for the past few years. Below are some selected projects.

H-S Express
An exhibition held at Museum of Site (MOST) by Yan Lei. The artist set up a second-hand store at the museum in order to study the consumer behavior of the audience.

 

Oil Street 12 Hours
It is an art festival lasted ONLY for 12 hours and organized by various art groups at the Oil Street. The programme consisted of exhibition, screening, shows, etc. The exhibition did not have specific themes. Its aim is to promote arts to the public. HKVAN artists have participated at the exhibition.

 

3D Virtual Art Gallery (3D VAG1.0)
It is a CD-ROM project that transforms the oldest walled village, Kat Hing Wai, in Kam Tin, Yuen Long into a multimedia virtual gallery. The CD-ROM acts as an artwork and a documentation of the sound clips, video clips, paintings and artwork of local artists. It is also a multimedia educational project for further reference. The CD-ROM was presented at "2000 c.c." exhibition and distributed to secondary schools, museums, artists and art groups free of charge.

 

2000 C.C.
It is the FIRST exhibition to be held at the " Shanghai Street Art Space Exhibition Hall. HKVAN artists have exhibited their paintings, videos, interactive CD-ROM and installations during the exhibition. The theme is to explore the roles and self-identity of artists in the coming century.

 

ID903 Oil Street Exercise
It is an exhibition and art festival organized by the Oil Street Artist Village to arouse the general public's awareness of the need to establish an artist village.
